Tours and routes may vary at the captain’s discretion due to weather and ocean conditions.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your tour, please email or call us at 808-358-0255. We’ll do our best to accommodate you, but cancellations less than 48 hours before your adventure cannot be refunded.
It only takes a few minutes to get everyone aboard The Adventure Boat. You don’t need to be early but please don’t be late. We cannot extend tours for this as we have to be on time for our next adventure.
Dress appropriately for an ocean adventure (beach attire) as you will probably get wet! Even if you don’t swim or snorkel, you might be in for a wet and wild ride. If you are on one of our dining adventures, don’t forget your shoes! Sandals/flip flops are fine.
Dry storage is limited, so only bring what you need. You will probably want sunscreen, a hat that won’t blow off, and a waterproof camera. We strongly recommend you leave non-essential items and valuables back on shore.
Due to potentially bumpy conditions and the nature of this type of boat, our adventures may not be suitable for those who are pregnant, or have bad backs, health concerns, or mobility limitations.
Our adventures are safe and fun, but this is an ocean thrill ride and all tours are at your own risk. Always listen carefully and follow the crew’s instructions for your safety.

Your health is our top priority, and we have special measures in place to keep all guests safe both during and after your activity.
-
Stringent Cleaning – We’ve increased the frequency of disinfecting surfaces and high traffic areas between each tour. All shared equipment like snorkeling gear and life jackets are always disinfected between uses.
-
Social Distancing – We only do private charters, so you and your party will be the only guests on the boat during your tour. We also ensure that crew members will be wearing appropriate PPE as necessary.
-
Wellness Checks – Employees receive daily wellness checks to ensure they are healthy and symptom-free. If you or anyone in your group is experiencing symptoms, we will work directly with you to cancel or reschedule your tour.

Most of our charters are for up to six, nine, or twelve guests plus our crew. This is based upon federal regulations and has nothing to do with age, size, or weight. 12 people is the maximum and yes, children are people.
We only do private charters, so it will just be you and your party. We can be a little strange sometimes, but there won’t be any strangers on the boat!
If you have a larger group, give us a call or text for options.
-
Yes. We provide clean, high quality masks, snorkels, and fins, for both adults and children. We also have life jackets and other flotation options available to use if you are not a strong swimmer. All of our masks and snorkels are cleaned and disinfected after each use. We use this gear ourselves, too, so you can trust it will be clean!
-
Absolutely. Sparkling waters are included but feel free to bring any additional food and drinks. We have a large cooler with ice onboard that you can keep stuff cold in. Alcoholic beverages are allowed, but cans are better than glass. Special arrangements and catering are available. Call or email for details.

We recommend dressing like you are going to the beach. There is a good chance you will get wet, even if you are not planning to swim. There is a little shade on the boat, but you will be out in the open most of the time. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat that won’t blow off are all very good ideas! If you are going on one of our dining adventures, you will need a shirt and shoes (sandals/flip flops are fine).
-
You don’t need much! We already have all the necessary snorkeling and safety gear on the boat. Sun protection (reef-safe sunscreen, hats, sunglasses—polarized are best if you have them), waterproof camera or phone, maybe a towel, and a light snack/beverage are all good ideas.
-
We get wet! Our tours can be a wet ride anyway, so if it’s raining we’ll just be a bit wetter. Sunny days are obviously nicer, but a little rain can’t stop The Adventure Boat!
-
No. We recommend that you try to use the restroom at the marina before your adventure. We can also stop to “swim” at any point on most of our tours. Our dining trips stop at restaurants that do have restrooms.
-
To board, we simply step down into the boat right from the dock. Getting into the water is easy—gravity does most of the work! To get back aboard from the water, our boats have ladders for climbing back up. While not difficult for most people, this does require a bit of fitness.
-
We’ll pick you up at our loading dock in Waikiki. Right here. If you use Google Maps or Apple Maps to navigate to “The Adventure Boat” it will take you right to us.
-
Maybe! The wildlife we encounter are just that, wild animals. They don’t operate on a schedule, and they move around as they like. The presence and abundance of any particular species is never guaranteed, but we are pretty good at finding them—so if they’re in the area, we’ll see them!
-
No. We do see Hawaiian spinner dolphins often, but they are best observed respectfully from the boat. They are protected by federal law from harassment by humans which includes attempting to swim with them.
-
Usually, yes! While certain mobility limitations may make a ride on this type of boat difficult, we have been able to accommodate a variety of unique situations. The private nature of our tours means that the entire experience is tailored to you and your party. No strangers, no crowds, and no fixed itineraries to follow. If you let us know of unique requirements ahead of time, we can be better prepared to assist you in having an excellent time on the water. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.
-
Absolutely! As a local and veteran owned and operated business, we’re happy to offer both. Call or text for a promo code before you book and simply show your ID when you get to the boat.
